- Multi-Point Inspection
- Perform advanced pinpoint testing to isolate root cause of concern. Includes circuit integrity testing, component activation and verification, voltage drop testing, signal analysis, and/or component access as required. Additional disassembly and testing may be required to confirm failure.
- Checked and found battery completely discharged and vehicle disassembled. The fuel pump control module unplugged and connector taken apart and the harness loom and tape removed. I charged the battery and cleared the codes. Attempted to start vehicle and DTC for no communication with chassis control module. Checked found no KAM power at Chassis control module. Checked fuse for said circuit and found it open. Replaced fuse with new. Now had power at module and attempted to start the vehicle still no communication. Found terminal had been bent from someone else test causing a no contact to pin in module. Adjusted terminal and now module powered up and vehicle runs. Test drove and had misfires on cylinder 4, pulled a plug and found aftermarket no name plugs. Replaced with AC delco factory recommended plug. Cleared codes, reset fuel trims and performed a crankshaft variation relearn because the ECU sat for so long without power it may have forgotten. Test drove again no misfires. There intermittent misfires on random cylinders while idling, I believe the fuel may be old and have condensation in it. Recommend new fuel with 44K and reassess vehicle performance.
- WATER PUMP – Remove & Replace
- Removes old, acidic coolant from vehicle cooling system. Safely cleans and treats the system to safely breakdown and suspend varnish, build up and deposit formation in the cooling system while safely exchanging the old coolant with new, fortified and conditioned coolant to better protect the vehicles cooling system. The system is checked for leaks & road tested.
