Thom, the owner of Lake Erie Automotive Service, is someone whose fascination with mechanics began at a young age. His natural inclination to understand how things work led him to tinker and repair various household items, eventually turning his attention to cars. His parents’ garage became his first workshop, the birthplace of a lifelong passion for auto repair.
His passion for mechanics didn’t stop there. In high school, he joined the Ag-industrial program at Ashtabula County Technical & Career Campus, further honing his skills and laying the groundwork for his future career. His dedication and expertise were evident as he triumphed in numerous competitions during his time in the program.
Upon graduation in 1994, Thom immediately found a place in a local, new car dealership. Eager to learn and excel, he quickly ascended the ranks, achieving the highest level of training. His thirst for knowledge took him from Detroit to New York City, attending several universities to augment his expertise.
In 2006, Thom decided to establish Lake Erie Automotive Service. His aim was to provide the Conneaut community with top-quality service at a reasonable price. Today, the company has grown significantly, delivering excellent customer service and automotive amenities and providing a welcoming, family-oriented work environment that encourages continuous learning and growth for all team members.
